AI Usage Policy

This policy outlines acceptable use of AI tools when working on FlexDuty projects.

General Principles

AI tools can enhance productivity, but their use must be:
  • Disclosed when required by the client
  • Appropriate for the type of work
  • Reviewed before delivery

Permitted Uses

Using AI for research and information gathering
Generating initial drafts for reports (with review)
Code assistance and debugging
Grammar and writing improvements
Brainstorming and ideation

Prohibited Uses

Never use AI to:
  • Generate fake vulnerabilities or findings
  • Fabricate test results or evidence
  • Produce deliverables without expert review
  • Share confidential client data with AI services
  • Replace actual security testing

Client Data and AI

Data Protection

When using AI tools:
  • Do NOT input client confidential data
  • Avoid sharing source code with external AI
  • Use enterprise/privacy-focused AI when possible
  • Anonymize data if AI input is necessary

Disclosure

If a client asks, disclose:
  • Which AI tools you used
  • What tasks AI assisted with
  • What human review was performed

Quality Standards

AI-generated content must:
  • Be reviewed by a qualified expert
  • Be accurate and technically sound
  • Meet project quality standards
  • Not contain AI-typical errors or hallucinations
