When Required

Background checks may be required for:
  • Enterprise client projects
  • Compliance-sensitive work (healthcare, finance)
  • On-site engagements
  • Government-related projects
  • Background checks require your consent
  • You can choose not to consent (may limit opportunities)
  • Results are handled confidentially

Current Process

While full background checks are being implemented:
  1. Profile Verification: We verify basic identity during signup
  2. LinkedIn Verification: Optional professional verification
  3. Client References: Clients can request references
  4. Platform Reviews: Your work history on FlexDuty serves as verification

Privacy

When implemented, background checks will:
  • Follow local privacy laws
  • Store data securely
  • Share only pass/fail with clients (not details)
  • Allow you to dispute inaccuracies

Not currently. When implemented, they’ll be required for certain project types.
Depending on the project, either FlexDuty, the client, or shared cost.
Typically 1-5 business days depending on check type.
Minor issues may not disqualify you. Decisions are made case-by-case based on relevance to work.
